JYANA
S. GREGORY
Artistic Director/Co-Founder
Jyana S. Gregory (Artist Director) has directed all ACTIVE
EYE productions. She recently completed a TCG residency at
Cleveland Public Theatre where she directed Venus, The
Designated Mourner, and Dojoji. She has done devised work
with mugwumpin (SF/Denver) and multiple productions around
NYC (Ontological, Lincoln Center Lab, Target Margin Lab,
etc.). Jyana is a graduate of Yale University and has

ANDREW
GRUSETSKIE
Associate Artist
Andrew Grusetskie (Associate Artist) has performed and
written for ACTIVE EYE. Additionally, he has worked with
Mary Zimmerman (McCarter/Seattle Rep), Mark Lamos
(McCarter), Carolyn Cantor (Edge Theatre), and the
collective Split Knuckle (Edinburgh Fringe). He trained in
the techniques of Jacques Lecoq at LISPA in London and
graduated from Yale University. Read more

RIKA
IINO
Music Director/Co-Founder
Rika Iino (Music Director) writes, performs, and directs
the music for ACTIVE EYE productions. A Japanese native,
Rika runs SOZO
MEDIA, a marketing and events production
company and regularly produces and promotes artists and
events across the globe. She recently produced Seen and
Heard featuring composers Philip Glass and DBR at ASU
Gammage, and a 2-week hip-hop festival at NYU Skirball.
Rika graduated from Columbia University and has studied
music in Japan, Austria, and the U.S. Read more about Rika!

KRISTINE
KUROIWA
Associate Artist
Kristine Kuroiwa (Associate Artist) has performed in all
ACTIVE EYE productions. She has also appeared at HERE,
Target Margine's Lab, WOW Cafe and Surf Reality. Kristine
holds a BA in Performance from Fordham University (played
Titus in Titus Andronicus) and has studied at ACT's Young
